What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored hashed).
- Business details you provide: name, trade, phone, website, service area, towns and services, brand color, and highlights.
- What we find about your business online: details, facts, and photos on your public website or listings, which you choose from, and a short summary of what your local competitors offer on their own public websites.
- Photos and logos you upload. We re-encode every image and remove its metadata, including location.
- Campaign content and settings, and a record of changes to them.
- Quote requests people send through the pages FieldPipe hosts for your business: their name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, what they need and their message, when they sent it, and the ad click code in the page address (such as Google’s “gclid”).
- How you mark your leads: good, booked or not a real lead.
- When you connect an ad account (Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram, or TikTok): an access token for that account, stored encrypted, plus your campaigns’ results (spend, impressions, clicks, calls) and the leads your ads collect, such as quote requests from lead forms and, for Google Local Services Ads, each lead’s name and phone number, your Google Verified checks, and the ratings you give leads. A comment you add to a rating passes through FieldPipe to Google; we don’t keep it.
- When your Facebook or Instagram ads use a lead form FieldPipe made for you: the leads people send through it. We keep what they entered (such as their name, phone number, email address, and their answers to the form’s questions), when they sent it, which ad and form it came from, and whether it came through Facebook or Instagram. We read them from Meta with the lead access you allow when you connect Facebook, email each one to you, and show them on your Leads page, where you can mark how each one went.
- When you connect Facebook and Instagram: the Facebook Page you choose for your ads (its ID, name, a link to its profile picture, and whether it has accepted Meta’s Lead Ads Terms, with when we last checked), and a one-way code made from your Facebook user ID (never the ID itself), so we can find your connections when Facebook tells us to delete them.
- If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email address, profile photo link, and Google account ID from Google, and don’t keep Google’s sign-in tokens.
How we use ad platform data
We use access to your ad accounts only to create, change, pause, and report on the ads you approve in FieldPipe, to show you your results, to bring you the leads from your Facebook and Instagram lead forms, and to send Google the ratings (and any comments) you give your Local Services leads. We don’t use it for anyone else’s ads, we don’t sell it, and we don’t share it except as described below.
FieldPipe’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don’t use data from your Google account to improve FieldPipe for other businesses or to train AI models.
How your ads are made
FieldPipe’s team, and AI models from providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Meta, may write, check, or edit your ads. The ad platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok) may also use their own AI to adjust how your ads are shown. Where a platform lets us, we turn off its automatic changes to your ad text and images. You approve your ads before they run.
Who we share it with
- Ad platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok) receive your ads and targeting when you launch a campaign.
- Cloudflare checks form submissions on the pages we host, to stop spam.
- Our AI provider (currently Anthropic) processes your business details and small copies of your photos to draft ad copy and pick a photo.
- A second AI provider (currently OpenAI) checks the finished ad copy against your business details, before you see your ads and again when you approve them. It doesn’t see your photos.
- When you ask us to fill in your details from your website, and every six months while your plan runs, our web reader (currently Exa) fetches your public web pages or listings. When you sign up, and every six months while your plan runs, it also fetches your local competitors’ public websites. An AI provider (currently Anthropic) reads them. FieldPipe’s team can run these for your business too.
- Stripe processes payments. Amazon Web Services hosts our infrastructure and sends email.
- Sentry receives technical reports when something in FieldPipe breaks, so we can fix it. We set it up not to receive your email address, phone number, address, password, payment details, or what you type into forms, and we don’t record your screen.
We do not sell your personal information.
Pages we host for businesses
Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok lead forms must link to the advertiser’s privacy policy, and ads need a page to send people to. For businesses that use them, FieldPipe hosts a privacy policy and a quote page on their behalf while they use FieldPipe. Each of those pages belongs to that business, and the business decides how it uses the details people send it. FieldPipe handles those details only as the business’s service provider: it delivers them to the business and, with the business’s permission, reports them in coded form to the business’s ad platforms to measure its ads. We don’t sell them. To ask about your information, contact the business listed on its page; you can also email hello@fieldpipe.app.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you disconnect an ad account, we delete its access token. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as billing records.
Leads stay in your account until you delete your account. We delete ad click codes 90 days after a request, and we don’t keep the coded (hashed) values we send.
Leads from your Facebook and Instagram lead forms stay in your account while it’s open, like your other leads, and are deleted with it. Disconnecting Facebook stops FieldPipe reading new ones but keeps the ones you already have. They never go to our error reports or logs.
What we find online about your business, and the pages we read about your competitors, is deleted after six months. What you confirm, like your highlights, services, towns, and privacy policy page, stays in your profile until you change it. We keep the latest summary of your local competitors until a newer one replaces it or you delete your account.
Delete your data
- To stop FieldPipe’s access to an ad account, disconnect it in FieldPipe (Settings → Manage ad accounts). We delete the access token right away. For Facebook, Disconnect also removes FieldPipe from your Facebook account when it can (not while another business on FieldPipe uses the same Facebook login), and tells you if it couldn’t.
- You can also remove FieldPipe in the platform’s settings. When you remove it on Facebook (Settings & privacy → Business integrations), Facebook tells us and we delete the access token. Google doesn’t tell us when you remove it in your Google Account’s third-party access page, so we delete the Google Ads token the next time we try to renew that access and Google refuses. FieldPipe doesn’t store access to TikTok accounts yet.
- To delete your FieldPipe account and everything in it (business details, photos, campaigns, results, and leads), email hello@fieldpipe.app from your account’s email address. We confirm the request and delete it within 30 days.
Step-by-step instructions, and the status of a deletion request you made through Facebook, are on our data deletion page.
